Azienda Agricola Le Salette is one of the foremost producers in Valpolicella. The grapes for this wine are harvested and then dried for 4-5 months before being aged for 30 months in Slovenian oak. Pleasingly ripe, it has aromas of black cherries, mocha and spice whilst the palate is raisiny with smooth tannins and weighty mouthfeel.
This ever popular style works superbly with game, especially stewed.
