From the family’s single vineyard plot surrounding the little church of the same name, this is a heavyweight Chianti Classico with enormous power and flavour. made from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Pugnitello, a local variety which contributes both colour and structure. It is bottled unfiltered to preserve its elegance and freshness, and aged in bottle for at least 24 months prior to release. Only produced in very fine vintages, it has both body and dark cherry fruit in abundance and is definitely one for the long haul!
