This is the third wine of Tenuta San Guido, behind Sassicaia and Guidalberto. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon(70%) and Sangiovese(30%), an extremely pleasant, smooth and versatile wine made for earlier consumption than its bigger siblings. Aromas of summer berry fruit, with hints of violets and black olives. The palate is smooth with soft tannins and generous fruit which opens up sensationally with time. It may be the 3rd string but it is still a serious wine!
