Paul, Pierre and now Jean-Baptiste, three generations have succeeded one another at the Pierre and Jean-Baptiste LEBREUIL estate since 1935. Jean-Baptiste has a fairly hands off approach in the cellar with gentle vinification and limited new oak.
This is superb value Red Burgundy with beautiful aromas of red and black fruits, cranberries whilst on the palate there is a savoury, smoky touch and smooth tannins. 10 ½ months in French oak barrels, ½ in vats, it is a gentle, easily approachable wine for any occasion. Unpretentious, friendly and gentle, the wines reflect the winemaker perfectly.
