The grapes for ‘undicicomuni’ come from across all eleven communes of Barolo, hence the name(!) Fermented in stainless steel for 3 weeks at a controlled temperature. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation is in wood, followed by 26 months in large casks and a further 6 months in concrete. Lovely cherry and summer red fruit aromas together with touches of orange peel and tar. Full bodied and round on the palate, yet the tannins are fine, giving a feeling of elegance.
