Made by a family owned Domaine in Pernand Vergelesses, this spectacular Beaune 1er Cru is fermented aged in 20% new oak, has gorgeous aromas of red fruit, with hints of cherry, and strawberry together with a classic ‘forest floor’ character.  Still quite young, the tannins are beginning to soften and the silky texture is coming to the fore.  Good acidity and vibrant, this wine just gets better the longer it’s in the glass.  Wonderful with venison.
