Their Chardonnay wins all the accolades but Margaret River is as close to Bordeaux as Australia gets (physically and metaphorically) and Leeuwin’s Cabernet is a brilliant impersonation of a ripe vintage claret. It certainly has the cassis, mulberry and cigar box aromas but underpinned by the ‘give away’ eucalyptus touch, there’s only one place this is from. Now drinking perfectly with 20 years to go!
